Prof. Micere Githae Mugo launched her book in a well attended event at UON on 17th April , 2012. It was formalized by the Deputy Vice Chancellor- Academic Affairs, Prof. Jacob Kaimenyi, Hon. Martha Karua, Attorney General Prof. Githu Muigai, among others.

Inauguration of the French Resource Centre

The sub-department of French’s Resource Centre was inaugurated by the French Ambassador to Kenya, Etienne de Poncins and the Vice Chancellor, Prof. George Magoha. Also present was the DVC AA (Prof. Kaimenyi), Principal-CHSS (Prof. E. Njeru) and the Dean- Faculty of Arts (Prof. P. Chitere).

University of Nairobi students emerge among the top in the Safaricom Inter-University Online Customer Care Competition

Safaricom, a Kenyan mobile service provider initiated an inter-university competition for university students pursuing journalism as their future career. The initiative required Journalism students from the different universities to form groups of a maximum of 5 individuals and come up with a Video advert that would promote the Safaricom online customer care services. Some of the Universities participating in the competition include our very own, The University of Nairobi, Daystar University, Kenyatta University, USIU among others.
