On 13th June 2016, the College held a website meeting in the College Boardroom. Chaired by the College Principal, Prof. Njeru, the meeting evaluated the progress achieved by all college units and departments in regard to college websites.
The College of Humanities and Social Sciences conducted a staff sensitization on the security of records and integrity issues on 11th April 2016. The theme of the training was “Awaken in thinking of the users and staff on matters of safety and security of records and documents”
The Consortium for Advanced Research Training in Africa (CARTA) is an initiative of nine African universities, four African research institutes, and select northern partners. CARTA offers an innovative model for doctoral training in sub-Saharan Africa to strengthen the capacity of participating institutions to conduct and lead internationally-competitive research.
The University of Nairobi has emerged among the top 900 universities in the world.
This is according to the 2015 QS World University’s ranking. The new ranking places the University of Nairobi at position 701 out of 891 institutions ranked.
The conference was officially opened by Fenny Mwakisha, Director of Higher Education who represented the chief guest Prof. Jacob Kaimenyi Cabinet Secretary Ministry of Education.
