The School of Business conducted a three-day customer care training for Non-teaching staff at the Central Catering Unit (CCU).
On 13th June 2016, the College held a website meeting in the College Boardroom. Chaired by the College Principal, Prof. Njeru, the meeting evaluated the progress achieved by all college units and departments in regard to college websites.
The College of Humanities and Social Sciences conducted a staff sensitization on the security of records and integrity issues on 11th April 2016. The theme of the training was “Awaken in thinking of the users and staff on matters of safety and security of records and documents”
The University of Nairobi 21 Central Departments signed a Performance Contract with the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Peter M. F. Mbithi at the Council Chambers this morning, Monday, 5, 2015.

This is according to the 2015 QS World University’s ranking. The new ranking places the University of Nairobi at position 701 out of 891 institutions ranked.

IDS was ranked 55th in the category of Best University affiliated Think Tank in the world, ahead of the University of Witwatersrand’s Centre for Applied Legal Studies at 57th position. Makerere University’s Centre for political Analysis was the top ranked in Africa at number 46. This category involved 90 institutions.
On 11th February 2017, students and staff from the Confucius Institute at the University of Nairobi joined the staff and workers of Mombasa-Nairobi Standard Gauge Railway Project to celebrate the Lantern Festival at the Syokimau Railway Station. Over 200 participants attended the function.
The Department of Busioness administration hosted Growth From Knowledge (Gfk) guest lecturers from 10th to 12th February 2017. GfK collaborates with the Department of Business Administration in offering the MSc in arketing prgram, and makes regular visits as guest lecturers, during which time they are joined by local guest lecturers from the Industry.
